Adding Another Candle To The Birthday Cake – Time For Perspective
As I am reviewing some blog ideas, I felt a slightly different type of blog topic coming on. While working on the computer, contemplating business ideas and reading about the latest video marketing strategies – it occurred to me: If I made a billion dollars this year but the 20 or 30 most important personal and business relationships would suddenly vanish, I would be utterly miserable. I paused to ponder this thought for a few moments and it made me re-contexualize how I viewed work in that moment. Sure we need to make a living, and as business owners we are concerned with ROI, budgets, sales, etc. But perhaps this is a good day to step back and look at the big picture.
